Try this home remedy to combat tie wrinkles
As a tie owner, at some point you’re likely to run into wrinkles. What’s the big deal you ask? After all, ties are made of some form of fabric and usually wrinkles are met with a nice steamy iron. So why would my tie be any different?
Truth is, yes ties are fabric but with ties often being the highlight of your wardrobe the last thing you want to do is ruin it. Some suggest ironing by covering with a t-shirt or another piece of fabric first. But why take the risk right? I’d only suggest the iron method in a case where you don’t have time and you need you rid of wrinkles at a moments notice.
However, I’d like to offer up another well known or not-so well known home remedy for getting rid of wrinkles.
Use the steam from your shower
We all take showers and are familiar with steam. Who knew that steam served a purpose other than fogging up our mirrors…lol. Steam is actually great for ridding most clothing of wrinkles.
Step 1: Take the desired tie and hang it up on a rack in the same room that you shower.
Step 2: Take your shower as normal.
Step 3: After your shower check to see if wrinkles have lessened.
Note: The more steam the better so depending on how long your showers are and how steamy your room is it may take a couple showers.
